Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

GO4Youth, an interdisciplinary environment-based examination programme is an annual feature organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Designed for students aged 18–30 enrolled in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across India, the MCQ-based assessment aims to strengthen awareness and understanding of sustainable development, resource conservation, and environmentally responsible lifestyles. The initiative also integrates the principles of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and is endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India.

Students from 18 – 30 years of age enrolled in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India.
Kindly note, that students will have to submit a Proof – of- Age at the time of issue of e- Certificates.

GO4Youth will only accept individual registrations through our registration portal- https://go4youth.teri.res.in/.

The examination content of GO4Youth is aligned with the mandated environment education syllabus adopted by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in India and will cover information about the framework for Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Campus Development in HEIs (SATAT), Mission LiFE, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Net Zero, Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan other national priority schemes. Through GO4Youth, we aspire to UGC which has formulated a new student-centric Curriculum and Credit incorporating a flexible choice-based credit system, multidisciplinary approach, and multiple entry and exit options to pursue their career path by choosing the subject/field of their interest.

In line with these principles, the GO4Youth examination does not follow a prescribed syllabus or textbooks; instead, it encourages young participants to engage in self-study & stay informed about current environmental developments. The questions are designed to promote critical thinking, reasoning, and awareness, ultimately promoting an aptitude for adopting a pro-environment lifestyle in alignment with Mission LiFE.
